    Education is an Equalizer

    Boston Partners in Education aims to create a more equitable city where every BPS student is equipped with the skills, opportunity, and confidence to succeed in the classroom and beyond. They strive to ensure that students most impacted by educational inequity have access to the resources and support they need – regardless of their race, neighborhood, or home life.

    Over 85% of the BPS student body are children of color. Every day, these students are forced to confront an opportunity gap that’s resulted from centuries of systemic racism in our country – a reality that has only been compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic.

    It Takes a Village

    Boston Partners in Education builds a bridge between classroom and community, to help close the opportunity and achievement gaps in the city’s public schools. Their mentoring programs connects both students and teachers with volunteer mentors in the community. These programs help BPS teachers maximize the number of students receiving individualized support during the school day. They also address issues of access and inequity by offering mentoring support to any student in any subject and grade level.

    Each financial contribution helps BPS increase the number of students they serve and allows them to bring their mentoring programs online, directly to students no matter where they work and learn this year.
