We specialize in digital cash transfers, letting donors like you send money directly to the world’s poorest households.

GiveDirectly is solving the problem of poverty by simply giving money to people who need it.  A mountain of evidence has been building in support of this approach.  Sure, money isn’t everything, but it can certainly solve a lot of problems for people.  Rather than funding programs with hoops to jump through, or those that provide a certain type of aid, giving people cold, hard cash allows them to decide how it will best benefit their lives.  And the evidence shows that overwhelmingly, people make good decisions with the money!
