The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization encouraging informed and active participation in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy.
I have volunteered with the League for years and they are just an outstanding group of people (men and women) who are dedicated to protecting citizens’ right to vote. Their education programs are top notch and they organize candidate forums on a local level for even small municipal elections that allow voters to learn about and question candidates in ways they might not have a chance to otherwise.
