We support and assist individuals affected by relationship violence gain access to resources for a safe and empowered future.
Gifts of Hope Unlimited (GOHU) raises resources for those impacted by domestic violence. GOHU provides timely financial assistance and basic home resources to individuals and their families who are striving to rebuild their lives. Most clients are mothers with children who have been in shelters and are setting up apartments, applying for jobs and needing transportaion, food and clothing.
Gifts Of Hope Unlimited also provides assistance to area shelters such as Voices against Violence, located in Framingham MA and to The Second Step, located in Newton MA. Patricia Hohl, the Executive Director of Voices against Violence says – “The funding that we receive from Gifts of Hope Unlimited enables us to provide services for survivors that we would not otherwise be able to because of budget limitations. A hotel room for a survivor fleeing violence or train tickets for a survivor and her children to reach a shelter…these may seem small but they are lifesaving.”
Working with local town social workers and in cooperation with many community organizations, GOHU strives to fill any gaps in a survivors support network to ensure a safe and certain future for each family.

The number of American troops killed in Afghanistan and Iraq between 2001 and 2012 was 6,488. The number of American women who were murdered by current or ex male partners during that time was 11,766.

The percentage of financial abuse that occurs in all domestic violence cases. The number one reason domestic violence survivors stay or return to the abusive relationship is because the abuser controls their money supply, leaving them with no financial resources to break free.
