Next in our series of posts about new Charitocracy nominees, we have nominee Blind Dog Rescue Alliance, nominated by donor bjstager
. They work to rescue blind dogs, assist their owners, and educate the public about these wonderful dogs. You can find their web site here.
A few words on Charitocracy
Firstly, for newcomers: here's how it works. Donors pool their monthly contributions, as little as $1. The cause with the most votes each month wins the pot. No matter how much or how little you contribute, each donor at Charitocracy gets one vote. This is where charity meets democracy. So please share this post (see social sharing icons at top of post) and ask your friends to join us and vote! That's how we spread the word and, as a result, grow the monthly pot. The bigger the pot, the bigger our positive impact on the world!
About nominee Blind Dog Rescue Alliance
Our Mission
Since 2009, BDRA volunteers have rescued over 600 visually impaired dogs across the United States and Canada. We work to rescue blind dogs, assist their owners, and educate the public about these wonderful dogs.
About Us
We are a group of volunteers spread throughout the United States and Canada dedicated to helping blind and visually impaired dogs by rescuing them in shelters, assisting blind dog owners, and educating the public about these wonderful dogs.
We formed in August 2009, and our members have many years of experience with blind dogs and rescue. We have rescued more than 600 visually impaired dogs so far.
Please look over our website, visit our blind dogs for adoption, read their stories, and we think you will agree that “blind dogs see with their hearts!”
We are always looking for volunteers; let us know if you want to help out! We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit group, and all donations are tax deductible.
So please visit the page of nominee Blind Dog Rescue Alliance to vote for, like, or discuss this cause! And check out one of their many sweet adoptable dogs, Stormy:
