March 2021 winner Foodshare

Charitocracy's 55th check to March winner Foodshare for $1235

We have good news about March winner Foodshare, right after this quick update...

300 Donors for USA

Last month I talked about how we had crossed the 300 donor milestone in February, if looking at total donors across both Charitocracy USA and the new Charitocracy OBX. But in March, we crossed the 300 donor mark even just looking at Charitocracy USA alone. Well done, everyone, but especially to our recent OBX donors who have chosen to contribute to both the OBX and the national pots. I see you. Your generosity is much appreciated! Next stop: 400!

March 2021 winner Foodshare

Last night we named Charitocracy's 55th monthly winner. Congratulations to Foodshare, nominated by donor MegaMom104. They're a food bank maximizing access to nutritious food and resources that support food security for Greater Hartford, CT and beyond. You can find their website here.

Now you have a week to further sweeten the pot with a special one-time donation of any amount, which we'll add straight to the check we write to Foodshare next week.

So finally please take a minute to admire what Foodshare's been doing for 38 years now! Then feel good about your part in our collective $1235+ grant to support their ongoing work.

Have a great April, stay safe, and be sure to log into Charitocracy to update your votes or nominate a new cause!

February 2021 winner Glimmer of Hope Foundation

Charitocracy's 54th check to February winner Glimmer of Hope Foundation for $1299

We have good news about February winner Glimmer of Hope Foundation, right after this quick update...

300

By the end of 2016 we had 200 donors. That magic number saw us through 2017, 2018, and 2019. We'd attract new donors at a rate roughly the same as our attrition rate, plus or minus about 10%. Then came February 2020!

Stay tuned for a blog post dedicated to this milestone. But spoiler alert: thanks to a combination of aggressive (and successful) recruiting campaigns by several nominees over the past 12 months, including this winner below, and the rollout of our new OBX site, we've surpassed 300 donors! Next stop: 400?

February 2021 winner Glimmer of Hope Foundation

Last night we named Charitocracy's 54th monthly winner. Congratulations to Glimmer of Hope Foundation, nominated by donor pottspac1@gmail.com. They show girls and boys their strength and beauty by donating bald dolls and giving HOPE to those battling childhood cancer. You can find their website here.

Now you have a week to further sweeten the pot with a special one-time donation of any amount, which we'll add straight to the check we write to Glimmer of Hope next week. And feel good about your part in our collective $1299+ grant to support their ongoing work.

Have a great March, stay safe, and be sure to log into Charitocracy to update your votes or nominate a new cause!

January 2021 winner Clean Air Task Force

Charitocracy's 53rd check to January winner Clean Air Task Force for $1359

We have good news about January winner Clean Air Task Force, right after this quick update...

We have an Environmental winner for a change

In over 4 years, we've only had one quasi-environmental winner before, Sky's the Limit Fund, who offer wilderness therapy programs for youth in crisis. Today's winner marks the first 100% environmental winner at Charitocracy. And I hope it marks the beginning of a new era! Check out our other environmental charity nominees, or consider nominating one yourself!

January 2021 winner Clean Air Task Force

Last night we named Charitocracy's 53rd monthly winner. Congratulations to Clean Air Task Force, nominated by donor Bethany. They're an environmental organization pushing change in technologies and policies to get to a zero-emissions, high-energy planet at an affordable cost. You can find their website here.

Now you have a week to further sweeten the pot with a special one-time donation of any amount, which we'll add straight to the check we write to CATF next week.

So finally please take two minutes to learn something from Clean Air Task Force. Carbon capture and storage (CCS) can be used to decarbonize fossil energy and turn it into a zero-emissions industry! Then feel good about your part in our collective $1359+ grant to support their ongoing work.

Have a great February, stay safe, and be sure to log into Charitocracy to update your votes or nominate a new cause!
