September 2021 winner Blind Dog Rescue Alliance

Charitocracy's 61st check to September winner Blind Dog Rescue Alliance for $1080

We have good news about September winner Blind Dog Rescue Alliance, right after this quick update...

6th year is a charm?

We're officially into our 6th year, the 6th time for many of you making it rain on Charitocracy with your generosity.

You may notice that the monthly grant amount has been getting smaller month by month during much of 2021, but has started settling and stabilizing just over $1000. It's because we used to receive significant matching donations from my employer, which I divvied up into the monthly pots each year. Then I retired early last year, and those extra pot sweeteners went away. So we've seen the last of their layered effects now. There were also a couple of very generous one-time donations in September (thanks!!) putting us across the $1000 mark, but I'm hoping October's pot will still naturally rise back near $1000 by month's end.

If you know of any individual or business that would like to help boost our impact, by all means let's get those monthly grants back up to $1500, $2000, and beyond! Every $1200 per year we receive means another $100 bump in our outgoing grant checks. And I'd be happy to maintain a prominent list of big ticket donors helping make that happen! As a business seeking opportunities to spread good will, why pick just one organization to support when you could let us pick twelve for you and spread your good will around?! One stop shopping here at Charitocracy, so if you know anyone, do get in touch...

September 2021 winner Blind Dog Rescue Alliance

Last night we named Charitocracy's 61st monthly winner. Congratulations to Blind Dog Rescue Alliance, nominated by donor bjstager. They work to rescue blind dogs, assist their owners, and educate the public about these wonderful dogs. You can find their website here.

Now you have a week to further sweeten the pot with a special one-time donation of any amount, which we'll add straight to the check we write to BDRA next week.

So finally check out this recent video of Turner, a blind foster dog. (There's more cute videos where that one came from!) Then feel good about your part in our collective $1080+ grant to support BDRA's ongoing work.
